Based on what I've seen in more than 32 years of working on Colt double-action revolvers, the new Pythons exhibit a better internal finish than the old Pythons. I have included a pic that is very typical of old Pythons with their wood-rasp internal finish.. Ok carz

I have a 1962 Colt National Match Gold Cup that is wonderfully accurate. Years ago a friend and fellow target shooter shot it with my reload of 4.0gr. of 700-X behind a 185gr SWC lead bullet. According to the Cimarron web site the "Old Model P" is true to the originals in that these do not have the firing pin safety. Yes the Model P is Uberti. The Frontier is a Pietta. Both seem to be well made six shooters with a few details skipped to keep prices down. Its one of those holsters with the metal clip in it so you can pull the revover straight out of it. He also has the original Heiser catalog from that era.If your Uberti is of late manufacture, it will handle .45 Colt loads that generate similar pressures as .45 ACP factory loads. that are industry rated at 21,000 psi, or 23,000 psi for +P loads...."
